Ruben Gotay and His Upcoming Status

24 year old Ruben Gotay had a monster day today against the D-Backs going 3-4 with a home run 3 rbi's and 2 runs. Jose Valentin is ready to come off the DL and is expected to do so on tuesday against the Phillies. This most likely means that Gotay will be sent down to AAA. I dont think that is the best option. I would prefer to keep Gotay up considering he is batting .316 with 9 rbi's, 2 home runs, and only 4 strikeouts in 38 at bats thus far with the Mets. It would be hard to keep Gotay up right now when Valentin returns because of the lack of outfielders due to the injuries of all three starting outfielders with Beltrans status as day to day and Alou/Green are both on the 15-day DL. It's a tough decision to make, the Mets will have to send down Gotay but hopefully he continues to hit and will shortly return to the Mets.
