Muniz can Pitch

Twice I have said that Carlos Muniz is underrated. After having a lot of recent success in the minors over the last year or so, Muniz is really starting to show potential in the Mets bullpen. Today he pitched another 2 innings allowing 1 hit, 0 runs, and a strikeout. In 4 innings this season, Muniz has yet to allow a run.

If Sanchez comes back, should he replace Muniz or Schowenweiss on the Mets' roster?

When Sanchez comes back, (who knows when that is), but most likely Muniz will be sent down. Schoe will not be sent down most likely due to his contract. Also, smith could be sent down but Muniz is more of a likely canidate. Time will tell

But should this be the case, or should it be Schow who gets the axe in your opinion?

I think it's a tough call, since Schow really does seem to be very effective against lefties. But he can't go for more than a few batters, since righties cannibalize him.

The Mets do not have a longman who can keep them in games for 2+ innings w/o Muniz, unless they underutilize Feliciano in that role, but they don't have someone who can get Ryan Howard to pop out in a pinch without Schow--unless, ironically enough--they underutilize Feliciano in that role. Which of these weapons do you think is more valuable?

They have sosa for that long role

I always considered Sosa as more of a ROOGY.

In any case....
