Hector Pellot was the New York Mets 2 pick (fourth round) in the 2005 amateur baseball draft. Pellot, 20, spent most of his season in A Savannah batting .274 with 7 home runs, 34 rbis, 52 runs, and 33 stolen bases in 114 games. He was then called up at the end of the season and batted .304 with 1 home run, 3 rbis, 3 runs, and 2 stolen bases in 6 games. Pellot was a 2007 South Atlantic League All-Star. Hector is currently playing second base for the Waikiki Beach Boys in the Hawaii Winter Baseball League. The Puerto Rico native has a .269 batting average in 6 games along with 5 rbis, 2 runs, a double, and a stolen base. I would keep an eye on his stolen bases. Pellot does not have a very good stolen base percentage. He was caught 17 times with 33 stolen bases for A Savannah, caught 1 time with A St. Lucie in just 2 tries, and has also been caught once so far for the Beach Boys in just 3 tries.
