The New Orleans Zephyrs have won their last 4 games, and have taken a 2-0 lead in the best of 3 in the American Conference Championship Series. Jason Vargas had a solid outing while giving up 3hits and 1 run in 6 innings. The bullpen only gave up 1 hit the rest of the game to seal the victory. Brian Lawrence is set to pitch in game 3 followed by Kevin Mulvey if necessary. In Mulveys only start for AAA New Orleans he went 6 innings allowing 0 runs and 2 hits.
