The Mets lost todays game against the Phillies 5-3 brining Mike Pelfreys record to 0-6. Pelfrey went 5 innings giving up 3 runs only 2 of which were earned. Pelfrey continued to get into trouble having runners always on base. I feel that pelfrey is still not ready to pitch for the Mets. He gets rattled very easily and is a completly different pitcher than he is in AAA or "the bullpen sessions" which he said earlier in the year. I know Pelfrey has been very succesful in AAA but he needs to stay in New Orleans to work on his composure. This would give Phillip Humber a good opertunity to showcase his stuff. Jorge Sosa should be back shortly after the all star break so why not give Humber a chance. In 16 starts in AAA New Orleans, Humber is 9-5 with a 4.42 era with 74 strikeouts and 21 walks. Lets just see what Humber has and if he gets rocked bring back Pelfrey for another start.
