The Mets placed outfielder Carlos Gomez on the 15-day disabled list with a fracture of the hook of the hamate bone of his left hand. New York recalled David Newhan from New Orleans (AAA) of the Pacific Coast League. Gomez will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks. I am very sad to hear this.
Now Lastings Milledge might get his chance..... Brian Moritz reports that OF Lastings Milledge will join Double-A Binghamton today as he continues to rehab from a hand injury.
