Tonight I witnessed the Mets beating the Nationals 3-2. Pelfrey was responsible for the Nationals' two runs, both of which came in the second inning. He lasted 5 2/3 innings, walking four and allowing six hits. Jose Reyes scored runs in both the first and sixth innings against John Patterson. Julio Franco provided a run-scoring, pinch-hit single in the seventh inning that produced the decisive run.
It was a fun game, pretty cold. I had good seats right along the third base line. I got to the game pretty early and heckled the crap out of Nats Starter John Patterson. I almost made him throw a pitch away in warmups. During the entire game Moises Alou had his hand in his pants. I hope it was to keep warm, but it was very funny.
