Today the Mets claimed 22–year-old RHP Marcos Carvajal off waivers from the Devil Rays. He was designated for assignent on Tuesday.
In 72 innings pitched at Double-A last season, Cravajal had a 3.86 ERA, 69 strikeouts and 36 walks.
